Don’t Be Defeated

Hello All,

The sun is shining where I am at today.  I need to go outside and get some of that Father God sent sunshine to get some of that Vitamin D Father gives to nourish our bodies.

This morning part of my Bible reading was in Job chapters 29-31.  The book of Job shares with us events in Job’s life.  These events are both spiritual and physical and basically shares how these two aspects of his life collide together.  It definitely is not for the faint of heart.  The first life event in the book is in the spiritual world.  Father God is in session with some in heaven.  It tells it like while they were in their meeting that the accuser (Satan) came in on the meeting.  Father praises Job as a righteous man to Satan.  The accuser (Satan) questions Job’s commitment and says if Father would take away His blessings that Job would no longer trust, fear, worship. or respect Father God.  Father then tells the accuser that He will allow him to cause things to happen in Jobs life that, according to the accuser, would turn Job away from Father God.  The accuser is not allowed to do everything at once, but through the process, many tragic things happen to Job.  Job is not privy to the conversations and events happening in the spiritual world, but in the physical world he experiences the terrible things the accuser says will turn Job away from Father God.  These things are tragic and done to Job’s family, his possessions, and his body.  On earth, it appears Father God has turned His back on Job, but in fact Father has trusted the relationship He has with Job to withstand the worst of assaults by the (our) accuser.  The chapters I read was Job looking at his from when it was filled with the blessings of Father God to the point where he had lost his children, his possessions, the confidence of his wife, and his health.  Job exclaims that he has no idea why this has happened in his life because he had not sinned or blasphemed Father God and that even in the midst of all this disaster in his life he would not, nor would he blaspheme Father.

I have myself been in the place where I was bewildered by what was going on in my life.  It shook my world and seriously affected my relationship with my Heavenly Father.  I felt like I had been put in the dark and could no longer see, but even though I was hurt I could not turn from Father God.  Somehow in my darkness I would see light again.  Today’s reading reminded me that there are times that Father trusts me/us with pain.  I was reminded that the pain and confusion is real when you have done as Father has instructed and you were living in His blessings, then you no longer experience the fullness of Father God.  Our human eyes cause us to question Father God and question ourselves.  The truth is that Father God is for us and not against us.  He loves us and is at work in our lives for His purposes.  Trust Him.
